Recent Obessions: Greek Key + Project Sneak Peak

While the Greek Key is in no way a new pattern, recently I've become obsessed with it! I think it is great because it is incredibly versatile.

It can be scaled down to coordinate perfectly with larger patterns.

Or can easily be enlarged to add a punch of contrast to a room.

Or add subtle detail with low contrast by painting the same or a similar color.

So far, in our home, we've incorporated a greek key pin board ...

and lampshade.

And now ...

Yesterday or this morning, you may have seen my next project on instagram.

Those corners almost got the best of me ... but I think I found a way to fix them ... stay tuned!

Recent Obessions: Attic or Cap Code upstairs spaces

I'll call it a recent obsession, since I've been think about it a lot lately, but it really has been an always obsession.

I LOVE attic or Cap Code upstairs spaces! I guess its the dramatic drops in the ceiling which create interest, but i think where is really gets me is how I feel in the space. Dropped ceilings create a cozy feeling, like you are being hugged by the room, making you feel comfortable.

They can be the perfect place to create a nook for reading or maybe a nap

or fabulous double workspace

and of course a relaxing bedroom

All are absolute perfection!

I've decided that one day, I will have a similar space to work with! How about you? Whats on your dream list, or what are recently obsessed with?

Recent Obsession - Frame Ledges

I've recently become obsessed with frame ledges!

Why do I love them? 1. They are a fast way to fill an entire wall 2. Less measuring and holes 3. They add a touch 3D visual interest - perfect for a narrow space where furniture will not fit!

Here are some of my favorites:

I love the large white mats and the orangey leather, while the shelf helps adds visual weight

via
What a perfect little workspace! The shelves help define the work area perfectly.

via
Such a serene room - the shelves help elongate this small space!

The frame shelves add drama to this dining room by using large frames that fill the entire wall

and my recent addition:

These were so easy to make and at around $5 each, affordable too!

Have you tried frame ledges yet?
